WHAT'S IN A NAME

With a name like Jorge Lucas, I was doomed to a life of filmmaking at birth. I moved from Buenos Aires, Argentina to the US at age 2 and quickly fell in love with storytelling. I graduated from home movies to student films to a job as 2nd Assistant Editor at Blue Sky Studios and Pixar.

While working on films like The Peanuts Movie and Spies in Disguise and the Cars on the Road Disney+ show, I've moonlighted as a writer and director of live-action music videos and short films.

Now, after eight years in animation and with multiple short film awards under my belt, it's safe to say the fate that came with my name has been more of a blessing than a curse.
